“ Jack's Chicken Shack is a solid spot for fried chicken. 3 PIECE CHICKEN TENDER - 4/5 The tenders were flavorful with a thick, crunchy batter that added a satisfying texture. I tried both the Kickin' sauce (spicy) and Lickin' sauce, and the Kickin' sauce was my favorite--sweet, tangy, and with just the right amount of heat. The sides were also pretty good! Service was great, and a huge plus for being dog-friendly! ”
“ Really good fried chicken and gumbo. The vibe is pretty classic bbq joint, minus the white bread on the table. Good service. ”
“ Tried this BBQ and Chicken shack before going to the top of the Space needle and had the sliced beef brisket sandwich with corn bread which was both amazing and price reasonably but there corn bread was so good as it tasted like honey was it ”
“ Random find after a Kraken game, and which was better? The game or the chicken? This chicken let me tell you, soft, perfectly moist inside and crunchy outside I don't know how they did it. Me and my girlfriend got spicy and regular, with the house sauce and the garlic herb ranch. Beautiful medley with the fries and did I mention cornbread?? You are missing out until you go, you get a half a pound of tenders with said fries and cornbread SCORE. Go Seattle, go kraken, go jacks chicken shack. Service and interior too very friendly, clean, enough room for everyone great vibe. We unfortunately had to be somewhere so did take out but would've loved to stay. ”
“ Excellent. Phenomenal. Best chicken of my life and everybody was incredible. Simply devine... I long for the day I might return and munch once again...! ”
“ Okay I'm not going to lie, I expected this place to be crap because I wasn't a fan of their bbq, BUT I was incredibly surprised at how wrong I was!! I was craving some fried chicken and decided to order from GrubHub one evening. At first, I didn't put two and two together and realize it's the same as the BBQ spot, but recognized it once my driver was headed my way. The moment I realized, I had pretty low expectations. I ordered the Kickin' 2 tenders basket with a side of fries, and holy smokes, I couldn't have been more wrong about my initial assessment! The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce was actually spicy without being overwhelming - just the right kick, as the sauce said! The fries were pretty good, not too greasy, and the side Lickin' sauce definitely elevated the flavor. It also ensured that the meal wasn't too spicy and cooled off the Kickin' sauce. It also came with a cornbread that was warm and flaky, and had a butter pack that I highly recommend using. I absolutely LOVED my meal and will definitely give the place another chance in person! ”
“ I wanted some food and found this place. I actually thought Jack's Chicken Shack was different than Jack's BBQ....it's the same place. I kept walking around and yeah I found it! So by looking at the place it's a BBQ Joint with all the fixings. I will say this...the ladies at this place are top notch. The customer service I received was great. I forgot what it felt like to be taken care of....great job! Now to the food..... Ribs / chicken were decent...Mac N Cheese / Cornbread was ok. You get 2 sides with the meal and cornbread counts as a side item( They should include the Cornbread with the meal). The BBQ sauce you pour on yourself and the sauce alone was alright. The Peach Cobbler.....they must have thrown it in the oven for 5-10 minutes and gave it to me...I didn't expect it tasting like that...it was really good. Now I have to say this....it's a BBQ Joint in the Westlake area so I put that into consideration. All in all....if you want some BBQ swing on by and grab a plate ”
“ Been craving some fried chicken for a while, so I decide to check this place out. This is technically Jack's BBQ, just that this is a portion of the overall Jack's menu that provides chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders, at what seems to be a slightly lower price point than the actual BBQ items. I ordered online for pickup and the process is very smooth - just enter the restaurant, tell your name of the order, and they will grab it for you in the order table area. I ordered the chicken sandwich original with the all meat chili, and wow, the food is quite filling. The chicken within the sandwich is moderately crispy, but there wasn't much slaw in the sandwich to augment the flavor of the sandwich. Definitely not super impressive compared to other places I have tried, but it adequately satisfied my cravings. I wished the chicken to be crispier and the other ingredients accentuate the flavor more to balance out the very generous portions of chicken. The all meat chili is quite rich, and you can add onions, cheese, and sour cream if you wish. The chili is very flavorful and smoky, and with huge chunks of meat! It is a bit spicy and quite salty just for your information. The benefit is that there's not too much water and so there's a lot of meat in it to bulk up in protein As this place is quite close in proximity to where I live, I may some time in the future try the kickin' version of the sandwich to see how it goes. ”
